Mike Boulette joined Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP (Minneapolis) as a Partner in the firm’s Domestic Relations group. Mike focuses his practice on complex divorce, child custody and family law litigation matters. Ana Chilingarishvili is co-chair of Maslon’s Financial Services Practice Group. In that capacity, Ana helps shape the strategy and direction of the practice group, with particular attention to client service, attorney training and development, and competitive effectiveness. Wedding bells were ringing for JimComerford , who married his wife Nicole in 2019. In 2020, Jim transferred from the major felony trial division to the appellate division at the Marion County Public Defender in Indianapolis. Congratulations to Kari Kanne , who is now a partner at Honsa &Mara (Minneapolis). Kari’s practice focuses on resolving complex divorce and family law matters, which include, but are not limited to, contested custody and parenting time issues, spousal maintenance, business valuation, and division of largemarital estates. Aaron Ninnemann now practices at DeWitt LLP (Green Bay,WI). Aaron is a civil litigation and trial attorney. He represents businesses and individuals in a variety of matters and practice areas, including real estate, construction law, employment law, shareholder disputes, product liability, and other commercial disputes. Aaron also handles appeals in state and federal courts, and serves as outside legal counsel to small businesses. Matt Perkins welcomed his son Carter Joseph on October 26, 2020. After eight years raising a Girl Scout and two Cub Scouts, I, Chuck Berendes , finished my final Pinewood Derby car with my son Hank. It is a thin slab of pine, with holes bored in the bottom containing 14 quarters and one nickel (the added weight is for speed on the downhill track). It will be wrapped in aluminum foil and after that, wrapped in the packaging of an actual Hershey bar. I don’t know if it will be fast, but it will be a hit with all the other Cub Scouts, I’m sure. Is a “Best in Show” trophy in Hank’s future? One can dream. Ross Steven Behrens was born on November 13, 2020. He is adored by his whole family (pictured below), including his

siblings Blake (6), Quincy (4), and Pierce (2). Congratulations, Kelly! Congratulations to Max Kieley who was named one of the 2020 Attorneys of the Year by Minnesota Lawyer! Max was honored as a member of the legal team that contributed to the restoration of the name Bde Maka Ska to the Minneapolis lake formerly known as Lake Calhoun. Angela Streit now practices family law at Heimerl & Lammers (Minnetonka, MN). Simon Trautmann was sworn in for his second term as a Richfield City Council Member. Also, his law firm – Trautmann Martin Law, PLLC – is entering its seventh year. He writes, “I am continually grateful for UST alumnus and law partner Graham Martin ’07 J.D. Together we have built a firm around the core principle of ‘happy, healthy people.’ So far. So good.” Congratulations, Simon! Class of 2009

In February 2020, Jeanne (Halvorson) Muñoz was hired by the Sacramento County Conflict Criminal Defenders panel, which is a panel of independent attorneys assigned to cases where the public defender’s office has a conflict. She works onmisdemeanor and felony cases, and completed a training to begin working as a DNAdefense counsel.While it’s a big change fromher employment law and workers’ compensation practice, she really enjoys the work and supporting people who don’t have themoney or education to navigate this world. In addition to her legal work, Jeanne keeps busy teaching yoga, singing in a bandwith her sister, and raising 3½ year old twin daughters,Mariana and Juliana (pictured below), with her husband.

Greetings, Class of 2009. I hope everyone is feeling as hopeful as I am with the wide availability of vaccines and a beautiful summer on the horizon. It’s so much fun hearing from you and hearing what’s new in your lives. In 2020, John Allison moved halfway across the world to South Korea with his partner Janae and their two children, David and Eve. The family has enjoyed exploring the Land of the Morning Calm and hope to travel to other countries while assigned to Korea. When not traveling, John provides legal advice to the Commander of the 501st Military Intelligence Brigade on a full gamut of federal practice areas including intelligence and national security law, government ethics and administrative law.
