Elizabeth Drotning Hartwell joined the family law practice group at Best & Flanagan LLP. Elizabeth also serves on the boards of two nonprofits, Cantus (a Twin Cities-based professional vocal ensemble) and Lutheran Summer Music (a summer music academy for high school students). After representing Cargill for many years as its outside counsel, Kate Hibbard joined the company in house as the group lead lawyer for Cargill’s global aqua nutrition business. Kate also supports Cargill’s animal nutrition and health technologies businesses in North America and the litigation and investigations team. TomKettleson was elected to Winthrop &Weinstine’s Board of Directors to serve a three-year term. Tom focuses his practice on commercial lending matters, representing financial institutions in connection with construction and real estate lending, M&A transactions and other commercial financing transactions, including revolving lines of credit, term loans, asset-based loans and other complex secured transactions. Lisa Borne Kott is the 2021 chair of the St. Bernard Parish, LA, Chamber of Commerce. Lisa is a partner at Tabary & Borne LLC (Chalmette, LA). She provides counsel in insurance coverage and bad faith litigation, medical malpractice defense, appellate matters, business litigation, general litigation and family law matters. Andrea Specht and her husband recently bought Andrea’s parents’ cabin in the deep woods of northwesternWisconsin. It’s not a lake place, but they have many small rivers close at hand and abundant wildlife. (For people who know their WI geography, the closest town is Shell Lake.) Andrea and her husband are grateful to have this remote, beautiful setting for teleworking and relaxing, and look forward to sharing it with family and friends for many years to come. Congratulations to Jeff Storms , who was named one of the 2020 Attorneys of the Year by Minnesota Lawyer! Jeff was recognized for his work on a data practices case involving a minor in Carver County, which resulted

in a $450,000 settlement for the family. It is believed to be both the largest payout in a Minnesota Government Data Practices Act case and the only successful civil suit against a sitting county attorney in Minnesota. Dr. Artika Tyner was named one of Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal’s 40 under 40 for 2021. Each year, the journal recognizes young business and community leaders who have demonstrated outstanding professional success, while also contributing to the broader community. Megan (Hannon) Galasso not only gave birth to her son Kaladin (pictured below) in 2020, but she also switched jobs! She is now at Guyton Thuente, P.A., where she continues her immigration practice. Megan reports that she is making the most of her time. While pumping at work, she is also learning Arabic on DuoLingo. While Megan is raising a baby and learning a new language in her spare time, I’ve been proud of myself for packing a healthy lunch …most days … I really have to pick up my game.

John reports that he had never used a treadmill previously, and it was quite an adventure to learn how to run indoors this past winter. Recently, while running on the treadmill, John was pondering how to best celebrate our 14th law school anniversary. So, in honor of graduating fromUST law 14 years ago…John has decided to attempt a 14-minute mile on the treadmill! This will be difficult (and perhaps even
