Matt writes that serving as a municipal attorney was certainly not on his radar during law school, but the variety of work the role provides suits himwell. If we had a dime for every cool thing that was not on our radar during law school … John Sandy and his lovely wife, Liz, welcomed their fourth child, Claire Elizabeth Sandy, and she is a beauty (pictured below). They were born at 26 weeks, forfeiting their third trimester (overachievers?) and stayed in the hospital until August. They are both fighters like their mama, but are doing well and Sarah’s family is happy to have them home. Congratulations Sarah!

Zaylore will also be speaking at the California Public Utilities Commission En Banc meeting regarding expanding the state’s supplier diversity efforts to include disability- owned business enterprises (DOBE).

Jake Grassel and Susan Grassel JD ’11 welcomed Madeleine Sophie Grassel into their family on May 14, 2020. Congratulations! Big brother JJ (5) and big sister Lucy (2 ½) were beyond excited and the entire family is still adjusting to life as a family of five during COVID-19 times.
